Solo Factory Jam Craft TUTORiAL
P2P | 17 November 2020 | 3.96 GB
Whether you’re composing a solo or improvising one, you’re connecting a series of musical ideas to express yourself. Developing a vocabulary of licks is the first step. The next step is learning how to craft variations of the licks using note displacement or altering the rhythmic feel.
The final step — connecting your vocabulary of licks to craft full-length solos, over any style of music — is the primary focus of Corey Congilio’s Jam Craft edition of Solo Factory.
“In the first section of the course, I’ll show you 30 all-purpose licks – 10 blues licks, 10 rock licks, and 10 country licks — any of these 30 licks can be varied, and even combined, to fit over any style. All of the licks stem from either the minor or major pentatonic scales — plus, I’ll show you how to mix minor and major to get that great sound used by all the top players. In the second section, you’ll connect your new vocabulary of licks, vary them with the approaches you learned in the first section, and then we’ll craft full-length solos over a Shuffle In G, a Straight Eighth Feel In A, an Uptempo Rock In D, a Rock Ballad In E, and a Hard Rock groove In A.”
Corey will explain and demonstrate all of the key concepts and approaches along the way. You’ll get standard notation and tabs for all of the performance studies. Plus, you’ll be able to use TrueFire’s learning tools to sync the tab and notation to the video lesson. You can also loop or slow down the videos so that you can work with the lessons at your own pace. All of the backing tracks are included to work with on your own as well.
Grab your guitar and let’s jam with Corey Congilio!
