We are excited to share a preview of our latest innovation amidst our ongoing development of new AnalogX plugins. Introducing the groundbreaking AnalogX GTQ2 Preamp Profiles and now with the groundbreaking parametric EQ profiles, featuring our first fully parametrically sampled analog preamp, crafted with cutting-edge deep machine learning technologies.

What is Parametric Sampling?

In the past, we employed snapshot modeling of analog devices, delivering impressive flexibility and tonal precision for your productions. However, we have now advanced to a fully parametric approach, capturing unprecedented detail. This method involves recording through the analog hardware multiple times, collecting five times more data points than traditional methods. The result is a more accurate and nuanced profile of analog non-linearities, enhancing both realism and tonal depth.

Experience the full range of the GTQ2 hardware preamp’s natural saturation and analog distortion characteristics with this new parametric preamp profile. Even at extreme gain settings, the distortion faithfully replicates the hardware’s response. We even sampled the unit at higher than normal levels to give you a “Hot” version of the unit that really overdrives the circuitry and allows for a more radical processing option,

For the first time too you can now experience the lush parametric High, Low Shelf and Mid EQ boost sections of the GTQ 2 bringing you the ultimate analog sounding EQ in the box!

What do I get in the pack?

GTQ2 High Shelf Boost with full parametric capability
GTQ2 Low Shelf Boost with full parametric capability
GTQ2 400Hz Mid Boost with full parametric capability
GTQ2 1.2k Mid Boost with full parametric capability
GTQ2 3.2k Boost with full parametric capability
GTQ2 Preamp with full parametric capability
GTQ2 Overdriven Hot Preamp with full parametric capability

To maximize the performance of our parametric devices, please follow these guidelines:

Maintain Optimal Input Levels: Utilize the 18dBFS average rule when interfacing with Genome or BYOD to ensure the profile receives the correct level before adjusting the gain. Tools like Hornet VU can help manage your levels effectively.

Start with Default Gain Settings: Begin with the Genome main gain set to 0 (fully left). This starting point mirrors the standard preamp gain knob on your hardware. Increase the gain as needed and adjust the output level accordingly.

Increase the gain as needed and adjust the output level accordingly. You may need to adjust the output gain in Genome to realign low or high end balance. The process is easy once you understand how it works. With EQ it is just like analog, less is more! but as always, use you ears 😉

We are confident that our advancements will significantly enhance your audio production experience. Stay tuned for more updates on the AnalogX brand’s evolution over the coming months.
