A dream amp for me to finally hear in person. Monstrous era defining tone from 4 distinct channels. Channel 2 is the unsung hero of this amp – open, dynamic and punchy. Channel 3 is iconic for its compressed high gain and huge low end. Channel 4 is amazing for leads taking the gain and compression to another level.
This particular VH4 seems quite unique in tone to current production models – it’s a bit more scooped with a bigger low and and more open top end than some of the darker versions out there. I happen to love this tone more than the darker/tighter units.
