Ned Rush Glitch Pack FOR ABLETON LiVE
06/03/2023 | Pack FOR ABLETON LiVE | AMXD | 3 MB
Ned’s background in sound design has put him in good stead to create a range of MaxforLive devices that can glitch, twist, destroy and rebuild your audio stream. In this Glitch Pack we’ve gathered together his most destructive devices in one awesome collection!
KNOBULATOR – The Knobulator is a MaxForLive device for mashing up audio in realtime. Turn the knob and the effect comes on, stop turning it and it turns off. Fantastic for live performance as well as audio productions.
It’s parameters automatically map with the Blue Hand control of supported Live MIDI controllers like the AKAI APC40. Turn your beats into wabbly crunchy glitches, run some synths through it for instant wobble.
The Knobulator is a performance based multi effects device for performing beat based, quantized effects with minimal fuss and complete ease of use. What makes it unique from any device like it is the way effects are triggered. You simply turn the knob, from any position, and the effect is active, keep turning to adjust the effect, then stop turning to disable. Simple. You can set the qunatize for not only the timing the effect is launched, but also the sweep of the knob thats modulating it.
You can change the effect in realtime whilst turning the knob too, to create exciting glitch effects that will explode. Beat repeats, stutters, reverse, tunrtable effects, filters, bit reduction, delays, grains, they’re all there, ready go to without mappinh anything. Great for djs looking for intersting things to throw into their mixes, or mashup dudes looking for something quick and easy with still loads of control. A popular choice!
MASHUP – The original member of the Glitch Pack, Instant Jungle Breakcore & it’s not cheating! Do you need glitched up madness?
MashUp is a generative loop editor that gives you instant jungle, glitch, beat effects using probability. Drop a loop or sound into the device, set some sliders, press go, and enjoy an endless source of new material you can resample and use in your productions to create wild edits of your material.
Different sliders set the chance that different playbacks will happen, such as forwards, backwards, start, stop, and wacky buzz effects. Use sliders in the wave editor to select which part of the loop gets played more than others, so focus on the kick and snare to create abstract breakcore madness. Its fun, and useful, and cheap. Why aren’t you buying it?
SCRUBBER – Looking for the sound of scratching and tunrtablism in your music but dont have turntables, or cant scratch, or dont have any records?
Fair enough, those things are costly and take time. Scrubber lets you move around audio the way you would a record, using a midi controller. Scrubber emulates the approach of turntablism (scratching) to give you a sensation of doing it live, and, you can do it live and it’ll look and sound cool. A great performance device for hip hop.
Stream audio through it or record a one shot sound and scratch it up like a dj on a turntable. Fully annotated and fully automated, this device becomes a weapon when mapped to a fader and a couple of encoders!
STITCH – A step sequencing Glitch Pack machine. Step Glitch = Stitch. Effects can be sequenced in time to create great beat edits, or can you randomise the sequence on each new pass (RONP) to get new events on each cycle. What also makes it special is the added step sequencer that controls the rate of the effects sequencer.
Sequence the first step to last for 1 beat, the second step for ¼ beats, to create unusual avant-grooves. All your great glitch effects are their for people looking for added surprise in their productions.
Choose the effect and then configure it with its own parameter selector. Finally dial in the rate at which the effect will be applied, you can have fine control over everything or through caution to the wind and use the Random functionality so that no two passes of audio sound the same, great for resampling!
Overall the Glitch Pack give you so many options to bring life to boring stale loops in Ableton Live.
