Strum v. 2.1.1- Max for Live Device
Presets | 7.70 MB
A new approach to MIDI.
At once exciting, surprising, and instantly familiar, Strum is something like a manually controlled arpeggiator for your favorite hardware keyboard, Push, or other note input device.
Your modwheel or mouse gives you direct control over how chords are expressed in real time, while the LFO and orbit features introduce unplanned possibilities for your performance. Or, MIDI map the strumbar to use any controller or modulation device you have to rake through notes!
Auto mode: the LFO.
In LFO mode, Strum becomes a sequencer with a mind of its own. Using the LFO in the Ascending or Descending note order mode will establish a consistent pitch contour to your performance, regardless of how many notes are being played.
Quantize note output.
While Strum excels at generating complex, free flowing patterns, the quantize function can constrain this chaos and render the output more useful in the context of a song. Combining this feature with Strum’s synced LFO can quickly find its way into your everyday workflow.
Take a trip.
Adding a second layer of movement to the strumbar offers another means of relinquishing some control of note placement to chance. Faster speeds are perfect for making unpredictable, fluttery textures, while a slower rate will add subtle variation to your playing.
